Cruise Control Specialists’ technicians are all highly experienced in the main operating styles of tracking systems currently available commercially in Australia.

Some of the brands we use and recommend include: Tracking devices are available in two main types - Radio wave and Satellite

Radio wave
Radio wave works on a spread spectrum digital radio encoding specifically designed for military communications among other things. This form of tracking is arguably the most secure; the vehicle can be tracked throughout Sydney, even in most underground car parks. Accurate to less than thirty metres. The disadvantage is it is not trackable outside of the greater Sydney area.

Satellite systems
This tracking device uses the signals transmitted by the US Defense Department's Nav Star Global Positioning Satellite (GPS). Coverage is all over Australia, dependant on mobile phone reception. Accurate to within about five metres. The disadvantage of this system is it needs to have "line of sight" to the sky to see satellites. Where satellite position is not available, most systems are capable of cellular triangulation to calculate the position of the vehicle.

Most tracking systems feature:
  • Emergency assistance (Personal Duress)
  • Roadside assistance
  • Remote immobilisation
  • Emergency door unlock
  • Immobilisation
  • Self monitoring
  • Back to base monitoring
  • Two way voice communication
  • Low battery alert
  • Vehicle alarm monitoring
Monitored system
This system offers security and peace of mind. Trained security professionals are on duty 24 hours a day, 7 days a week ready to receive any alarm signals from your vehicle.

Once the security monitoring centre receives a notification. Procedures are in place to commence live tracking, and communicate with the authorities to immobilise and recover your vehicle.

While the unauthorized entry; emergency alarms are taken care of by the monitoring centre, you can have full access to your system (using ezitrak or Bike Bandit) by calling your vehicle, selecting an option from the voice menu, or using the SMS or PC interface.  You are able to lock and unlock the vehicle’s doors, receive low battery and over-speed notifications, obtain a status report, or live track and download from the black box log to replay on a map display.

Self monitored system
This type of vehicle security and tracking is a budget option.  Designed to be a personal monitoring device, the Self Monitored Tracking device will notify its owner via a GSM mobile phone call, making a voice call and advising the alarm or emergency status using a pre-recorded message. Once the call has been acknowledged, you are able to live track, obtain the vehicle’s position coordinates, and immobilise the vehicle.

This unit will also provide you with the full functionality of the system for remote locking & unlocking of the doors, receiving low battery or over speed warning, obtain status report, live track and download the black box log to replay on a map display.

We use and recommend the Ezitrak and Bike Bandit products from www.ezitrak.com.au for these applications.
